Holland America Line has sent out the following notification that will affect your upcoming cruise departure:

Due to continued port closures including Canada’s cruise ship suspension until July 1 and other travel restrictions resulting from global health concerns, Holland America Line has made the decision to extend its pause of global cruise operations and cancel all sailings scheduled to depart through June 30, 2020. This includes Alaska, Canada/New England and Europe cruises. Additionally, in Alaska, Holland America Line is also cancelling all Alaska sailings for summer 2020 on Maasdam, Noordam, Oosterdam, Volendam and Westerdam. In addition, all Land+Sea Journeys are cancelled. A Land+Sea Journey combines a Holland America Line Alaska cruise with an overland tour to Denali and the Yukon. The McKinley Chalet Resort, McKinley Explorer rail cars and tour motorcoaches will not operate this summer.

All bookings will automatically be cancelled. You do not need to call. In the coming weeks, Best Price Cruises will contact you to submit your choice of reimbursement for your cancelled cruise. If you prefer, you may instead submit your choice directly at https://book2.hollandamerica.com/cp/, though we ask that you notify us of your selection so that we may ensure you are reimbursed per your choice:
  • Option #1 - Defer your refund and receive a future cruise credit for 125% of the base cruise fare paid plus an onboard credit of $250 USD/per person, which can be applied toward any future cruise through December 31, 2021. Non-cruise fare purchases through Holland America Line will be refunded via the method of payment used to purchase the services.

  • Option #2 - If you do not choose the 125% future cruise credit plus $250 USD/per person onboard credit, a 100% refund of all monies paid will be reimbursed to the original form of payment.

  • Per Holland America, if you do not elect either Option 1 or Option 2 by June 1, 2020, you will be deemed to have accepted Option 1 (which is a higher value than Option 2). Once Option 1 or 2 is elected (or deemed elected as set forth herein), it shall be deemed accepted, final, and binding.

We will be reaching out to you during the next weeks to review desired reimbursement choice for your cancelled cruise. We recommend allowing us to submit and track your choice to ensure that you are reimbursed correctly.
