The decision to extend our pause of global ship operations is an extremely difficult decision. Know that due to the reduced air flight availability, the closure of ports in regions around the world and many other factors caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, Holland America Line has announced the extention of their pause of cruise operations and cancel all Alaska, Europe and Canada/New England cruises for 2020. In addition, they will not operate the 79-day Grand Africa Voyage aboard Amsterdam that would have departed on October 3, 2020.
All bookings will automatically be cancelled. You do not need to call. In the coming weeks, Best Price Cruises will contact you to submit your choice of reimbursement for your cancelled cruise. If you prefer, you may instead submit your choice directly at the Cancellation Preferences form, though we ask that you notify us of your selection so that we may ensure you are reimbursed per your choice.
If you are paid in full:
- Option #1 - Defer your refund and receive a future cruise credit for 125% of the base cruise fare paid, which can be applied toward any future cruise through December 31, 2022. Non-cruise fare purchases such as shore excursions or onboard services will be refunded via the method of payment used to purchase the services.
- Option #2 - If you do not choose the 125% future cruise credit, a 100% refund of all monies paid will be reimbursed to the original form of payment.
If you have only paid a deposit:
- Option #1 - Defer your refund and receive double the amount deposited (up to the base cruise fare amount) as a Future Cruise Credit.
- Option #2 - If you do not choose the future cruise credit, a 100% refund of all monies paid will be reimbursed to the original form of payment.
Per Holland America Line, if you do not elect either Option 1 or Option 2 by June 15, 2020, you will be deemed to have accepted Option 1 (which is a higher value than Option 2). Once Option 1 or 2 is elected (or deemed elected as set forth herein), it shall be deemed accepted, final, and binding.

We will be reaching out to you during the next weeks to review desired reimbursement choice for your cancelled cruise. We recommend allowing us to submit and track your choice to ensure that you are reimbursed correctly.
