Royal Caribbean International, the parent company of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, & Azamara Cruises has sent out the following notification that will affect your upcoming cruise:
As our priority continues to be the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we visit, we continue to prepare for our operational return. We are committed to taking the time to get it right, so the decision has been made to further extend our list of suspended sailings through February 28, 2021.
We understand this news is unfortunate and, as a result, have prepared a few compensation options. For those guests booked on impacted sailings and not previously canceled under our Cruise with Confidence program, the following choices are available:
LIFT & SHIFT
Our Lift & Shift option is perfect if you simply wish to move your existing reservation to next year. Select next year's sailing on the same itinerary type, sailing length, stateroom category, and within the same 4-week window of your original cruise date and your original cruise fare and promotions will be protected. Simply call us at 1-800-672-7485 before December 16, 2020 to take advantage of this option!
125% FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT
To compensate for the disruption to your vacation plans, you are eligible for an elevated 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) that is based on the total cruise fare paid per guest, which will be automatically issued on or before January 15, 2021 if no other option is selected. Taxes and fees, as well as any pre-purchased amenities or onboard packages, will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment within 45 days from the cancelation date.
If you have previously opted to take advantage of our Cruise with Confidence policy, the 100% FCC will stand, and this new option is not available. Additionally, if you had redeemed your Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credit on a sailing that is now canceled, your original FCC will be reinstated, plus 125% of any amount paid by the guest on the canceled reservation. You do not need tpo contact us if this is the option you wish to select.
REFUND
If you would simply prefer a refund, we are happy to return the funds paid per guest when selecting this option on or before March 31, 2021. To request a refund, simply call us at 1-800-672-7485. You can expect your refund to the original form of payment within 45 days from the cancelation date. If part of your cruise was paid with a Future Cruise Credit, that credit will be returned to your past passenger account for a future cruise versus a refund.
As your Agents, we at Vacation Superstore/Best Price Cruises are here to assist you. Currently, there is no need to cancel your cruise by calling us or by sending in a form. You only need to contact us should you wish to request the Lift & Shift option.
We will be reaching out to you during the next weeks to review if you have received the credit and discuss your future possible booking. At that time, we will also discuss your option, if desired, to convert your 125% credit to a refund at 100% value of your cancelled cruise.
